Saien tou Saien, Saien Ka Festival Bhi Saien

As we all know about Sindhi festival 2014 which was organized by the Sindh government. And the provincial government had invested 450 million rupees over that so called heritage saving festival whereas, 150 million rupees funded by the provincial government and the rest of the money was sponsored by different sponsors.

The main purpose of that festival was to protect the Sindhi cultural heritage, and show the positive image of the Sindhi to all over the world. Sindh government worked a lot to achieve their goal by organizing the successful festival. The event was scheduled for about a week (1st-15th February 2014), which was started from the home town Larkana and ended in the business hub Karachi.

Superman’s logo “S” was made as their festival’s logo, that was again become an issue of copyright, after all superman is superman not waderai ka beta.

In the list of events there was Basant, Gazal Night, Fishing Competition, Fashion Show, Film Festival etc. Many foreigners attended that festival. Everyone enjoyed a lot and said that this type of festival should be organized in all provinces of Pakistan.

But PPP’s Chairman Mr.Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would you brief us that by organizing such types of festival in the name of “saving cultural heritage” how could we do so?

If I am not wrong, sindhi culture is not that which you portray in your festival. It would be better if you first learn about the things you don’t know instead of portraying irrelevant traditions that do not belongs Sindhi culture. Such As the fashion show was organized in the festival but we common people know that a reputable and noble Sindhi man keep their women in Parda not allow they to walk on ramp.  Basant is also not in Sindhi culture it belongs to Punjab.

Your party’s slogan is “Roti,Kapra aur Makan” but your so called government took all these thing from the hand of masses. Poor people of Sindh died from lack of food, clean water and medical facilities. And at that time your Government was busy in marketing and advertising your festival.

I think if you invested that huge million amount of rupees for those poor peoples of Sindh which are suffering from poverty and inflation in that case you would definitely save the culture,  traditions and heritage because without the people what the  so called heritage means?
